In Södertälje Municipality we have preschools, family day centres and private preschools. The cost of attendance is geared to the family's income after tax.
All children aged 1 – 5 whose parents are employed, studying, are looking for employment or are on parental leave are welcome to attend preschool.
The municipality will allocate a place in a school no later than four months after you have registered an application.
Three hours free of charge
Children can attend preschool three hours a day free of charge from the autumn in the year of their fourth birthday. Preschools have the same holiday periods as regular schools.
Language and democracy
At preschools children are instructed in Swedish. Your child can, however, receive support in his/her home language.

Fill out the form ”Application for a place in child care” and state your requirements. The form can be downloaded from the list on the right. You can also phone 08-523 010 00 and we will send one to you in the mail.
You must handle contacts with private preschools yourself.
