In Södertälje there is a wide range of activities for people with functional impairments.
The Gillberga open-air farm at Nya Malmsjön is a facility adapted for the functionally impaired.
Camping
Södertälje municipality arranges camping holidays in Åre for school students and adults. For intellectually retarded adults there are holiday courses and day camps in the summer. Please contact Christofer Martinson for information.
Courses
The Vuxenskolan study association arranges courses in cooking, computer studies, music, sewing and drama.
Recreational sports
You can play indoor bandy and football at the Södertälje Sports Association for the Disabled and Södertälje IF has an athletics track. The Södertälje swimming association and Södertälje riding club also provide activities.
Dancing & sing-alongs
FUB, the Swedish National Association for Persons with Intellectual Disability, arranges dances in Allaktivitetshuset in Saltskog every other Friday and activities such as bingo, karaoke, organised sing-alongs and discos on Wednesdays.
